Fort Yargo State Park
If you're looking for an outdoor smorgasbord there's nothing like Fort Yargo State Park. The park surrounds Marbury Creek Reservoir, a 260-acre lake with a swimming beach, fishing areas and boat ramps for those who like to get wet. Many campsites are near the water's edge, and hiking trails follow the lake shore. Fort Yargo is a mountain bikers dream, with 12 miles of trails with beautiful views. This park has a little taste of everything!

Join our partner REI, Inc. in volunteering on our site working on mountain bike and hiking trails, cleaning up the lakeshore, and working on erosion sites as we make the park better for our visitors. Junior Ranger Gopher Badge
A new GO Georgia badge has been added to the successful Junior Ranger Program. Kids ages 7 - 14 choose from a list of activities to earn their Gopher badge. The younger ones, ages 7 - 10 must complete 5 activities while those in the older group, ages 11 - 14 must work toward completing 8 activities.
