Junior Ranger Gopher Badge
A new GO Georgia badge has been added to the successful Junior Ranger Program. Kids ages 7 - 14 choose from a list of activities to earn their Gopher badge. The younger ones, ages 7 - 10 must complete 5 activities while those in the older group, ages 11 - 14 must work toward completing 8 activities.

Florence Marina State Park
You'll love Florence Marina State Park. Situated at the northern end of the 45,000-acre Lake Walter F. George, this place is all about water sports. It is adjacent to a natural deep-water marina with an accessible deep-water fishing pier, boat slips and boat ramp. Looking for the call of the wild? Birders are sure to see herons and egrets, and possibly bald eagles. The kids love this park because of the fun playgrounds and mini golf.

Boating
There's a lot of water here and 66 slips to rent at the park marina. Located on Lake Walter F. George, the park also has various docks and boat ramps to provide additional access.
Fishing
Where there's water there's fishing to be had. At Florence Marina Sate Park you can rent fishing boats to try your luck on Lake Walter F. George. A lighted fishing pier provides additional opportunities to hook up.
Swimming
Take a dip in the cool waters of Lake Walter F. George.
Disc/Mini Golf
There's a miniature golf course at the park. So hit the links!
