
A.H. Stephens Historic Park
Beautiful outdoor facilities make this park a treat for both nature lovers and history buffs. Named after the vice president of the Confederacy and governor of Georgia, A.H. Stephens State Historic Park features a Confederate museum with one of the finest collections of Civil War artifacts in Georgia, including uniforms and documents. Stephens' home, Liberty Hall, is renovated to its 1875 style, fully furnished and open for tours.

3 miles of walking trails with one ADA accessible trail.
If you want to saddle up at here you'll have to bring your own horse. Horse rentals are not offered. But there are 12 miles of trails for your pony.
To help boost your catch, private boats (electric motors only) are permitted on A.H. Stephens' two small fishing lakes. Pedal boats are also available.
If you want to drop a line there are two small fishing lakes (2 acre and 18 acres) located within the park.
There are a ton of outdoor camping opportunities at A.H. Stephens State Park to be had for a small fee.

Geo-caching 101A.H. Stephens Historic Park – Crawfordville, GA

There are treasures hidden in the woods;can you find them? Meet Chip Thomas at picnic shelter #3 for an introduction to geo-caching.Then set off on a geo-caching event in the park. Programs at A.H. Stephens Historic Park

A new GO Georgia badge has been added to the successful Junior Ranger Program. Kids ages 7 - 14 choose from a list of activities to earn their Gopher badge. The younger ones, ages 7 - 10 must complete 5 activities while those in the older group, ages 11 - 14 must work toward completing 8 activities.

The Fishing Tackle Loaner Program (FTLP), developed by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Wildlife Resources Division (WRD) and Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites is a program that provides a way for budding anglers to try fishing without having to purchase any equipment.
