Swimming at Georgia State Parks

Dive into a Georgia state park. Most of the parks have lakeside beaches or swimming pools to enjoy. Lifeguards are provided at swimming pools (except at lodge parks), and a small admission is charged. (Lodge guests, cottage guests and children younger than 2 swim free.) Hours and days of operation vary among the parks; however, most are open 11 AM -6 PM Tuesday through Thursday and 11 AM -7 PM Friday through Sunday. Remember swimming pool hours may change due to lifeguard availability please call ahead to confirm schedules.

Swim the Warm Springs - Dip Into The Past

Roosevelt's Little White House Historic Site – Warm Springs, GA

Saturday, Sep 4, 2010 until Monday, Sep 6, 2010 / 10 AM to 4 PM
Swim in the historic pools built by President F.D. Roosevelt as a place for therapy. Normally kept empty for preservation, the shallow pools will be filled with naturally warm spring water. Tickets to the swim may be purchased over the phone with credit card. Space is limited to 80 participants per session. Reservations are suggested. All remaining tickets will be sold first-come, first-served, based on availability. No reservation is secured until payment is received. 1.5-hour swim sessions begin at 10 a.m. Ages 6 and older. Only Family Package includes admission to Roosevelt's Little White House. NOW TAKING RESERVATIONS! $20 adults; $12.50 ages 6 to 17; Family Package-$75. 706-655-5870. Handicap Accessible.

Junior Ranger Gopher Badge
A new GO Georgia badge has been added to the successful Junior Ranger Program. Kids ages 7 - 14 choose from a list of activities to earn their Gopher badge. The younger ones, ages 7 - 10 must complete 5 activities while those in the older group, ages 11 - 14 must work toward completing 8 activities.
