Grab a paddle or start your motor. Georgia parks have plenty of boating opportunities to make a splash.
Boating at Georgia State Parks
Ahoy! Whether you're the captain of a pedal boat, canoe, fishing or skiing boat you'll find what you want at a Georgia state park. More than 30 parks rent motorized fishing boats, pedal boats or canoes by the hour. Fort Yargo's Will-A-Way Camp, Hart State Park and George T. Bagby State Park rent pontoon boats to groups, while Stephen C. Foster State Park offers guided boat trips through the mysterious Okefenokee Swamp. If you're looking for a little more horsepower you can check out some of Georgia parks larger lakes that can accommodate water skiers, wake boarders and personal watercraft. Be sure to call ahead before making plans as rules and regulations change regarding personal boats.
